Just picked this up.

Runs but likely has a popped head gasket, keeps overflowing coolant out of the full neck.

plugs and cylinders are dry but high amount of carbon.

paid 900 for the lift and changed all of the fluids and it works.
Used it the other day to unload a 1600lb landscape Boulder.

worked beautifully.

Anyone have or know of anyone that has a towmotor forklift for sale?
Looking to get another one for parts.

thanks

Likely not a head gasket, radiator cap was not the correct size. New 1 inch deep cap has been installed.
No more over flow issues however has a gravity fed fuel system that is aftermarket.
Turned the fuel on the other day and the carb was just flowing fuel all over the exhaust muffler.

removed carb and ordered rebuild kit for the little zenith carb.

luckily the F163 continental motor was the main power source for the popular Lincoln sa200 welder so there are actually a decent amount of parts that are still available to the welding communities.

I went ahead and pulled the factor caterpillar fuel tank in hopes of making another one and utilizing the factory manual fuel pump.
Seems there should be some kind of a safety splash shield that simply allows excess fuel to run off instead of the fuel dripping directly over the exhaust.

This forklift has been a pretty fun little project.
