Hello, new here. I have a1960 lawn-boy 8210 self-propelled with a C-41 engine. It has been sitting for 30+ years. I'm trying to get it running again. The piston was rusted and frozen, but I have freed it up using 1 to 1 ATF and Acetone. The cylinder will be fine, but the piston is shot and the rod is broken. I'm looking for those parts. I may have a piston - 3 ring, and rings, but no luck on the rod. Rod part number is 677452. Parts manual shows a different rod for the C-42 engine in the same diagram as the C-41. Looks like that is the only difference in the engines, the crank and piston are the same. The C-42 rod is 677966 replaced by 682864. The 677452 C-41 rod does not have the 33 tiny pins, the 677966 C-42 rod does. I have found some 677966 rods. The question is, will that 677966 rod work in the C-41 engine?

Thanks for your help.
