18hp vanguard briggs zero compression on one side

Other side is 150 psi.
I think i smell gas in oil.
Where do i start?

Take out plugs, put screwdriver GENTLY into spark plug hole of cylinder with no compression and turn engine slowly BY HAND and see if piston is moving. If no movement connecting rod is broken. If it moves we will go from there...

No movement. Broke a rod i guess. Rebuild time. I better look for a manual.

rod bolts let loose?
Looks like one did. The other broke.
Was low on oil too.
