18093 bolen tiller

I'd rather loan my stuff to total strangers than to relatives.
Somehow relatives always destroy things.

Sooo, I think you ought to dismantle that tiller, and box up the usable parts, and send them to me for spares.

I have come across exactly two large frame tillers for sale in all my wanderings, and I am kicking myself for only buying one of them. Fortunately for me, the one I did buy is in like new condition, with one extension on it. The one I passed on was one of those 48" monsters, but a bit tired. I am considering picking up the next one I see to keep for spare parts.

I dragged my tube frame tiller over beside my large frame, and you are right, the tines, hubs and gear case appear to be nearly identical, with only the mounting arms being different.

Perhaps the flange from a smaller tiller will fit billhuser's tiller?
Although, the parts manuals list very different part numbers, so I suspect a shaft size or spline difference will preclude interchangability.
