well basicly i need to know is how does this rank for a mower in the cub cadet line up as in second largest series at the time ?? got a lead on one that needs a gear in the rear end that is the first pinion after the hydro supposed to run great my first cubber that ive ever even attempted to flip what should i offer him for it ect

They were not the most desirable of the cubs. They are lawn tractors, not garden tractors, so you don't want to be tilling with it or anything heavy duty like that. The hydrostatic transmissions were the weak link, and seeing how the one you're looking at has a problem in the differential so that you won't know how bad the hydro is until you fix the diffy, I wouldn't offer more than $100.00, and that's if the engine is running good with no smoke. If you pull apart the rear end and find out that the tranny is toast, then you can at least use or sell the engine.
