There are no good cheap tires. They do not exist. Learned that lesson the hard way.

Carlisle is what I have settled on.

MultiTrac C/S or Turf Master is what I specify with the Multitrac C/S being preferred.

Here is a TurfMaster

Turf Master - 4 ply $43.30

Personally I wont have a turf saver. No traction - especially in snow.

I just got 16x6.5-8s from tires-easy.com (Richard's link) for my 8163 - cheapest that I found for Carlisles. Everyone else was at least $5-10 more expensive. I think I paid ~$62, shipped, for those.

Take the bearing cap off and remove the nut underneath. Then the whole thing slides off.

Just about the time the tires need to replaced, the front wheel bearings need to be repacked or replaced.
