I have a 1997 14-38 HXL that I was mowing with yesterday when it just stopped on me. Try to start again and nothing absolute quiet.
Well after poking around a little bit I found a fuse that was blown.
In looking at the fuses on the wiring diagram it seems rather simple. Both have red wires, one leading to the engine (alt.) and the other to the neutral switch. I inspected them and found nothing that would make me think the wires were grounding out against the frame anywhere...no cracks or burn marks.
So basically I am looking for ideas of what I overlooked or missed in my first go around on this. Any insight would be helpful.
Thank you,
John
