I picked up a 1254 with rear tiller today.I was told it's never been apart,and it looks it.The grill and engine are brown,and it has the push/pull cables.I've seen others that have no brown,and have up/down cables.Would this make mine a "71 model?

Any pics of one of these machines restored???I'm not a big fan of the color,i like the two tones much better.If i see what a fresh one looks like it may change my mind???

I once saw a picture of a super clean 1254 that was owned by Rick Show at the time. It may have been on Sam's Bolens website. It did look very good in one color.

In the Sonny's Bolens gallery pics, there are a couple 1254's. One is a color factory promo pic that shows the tractor in white with the grill dark and the engine dark.
