Iv'e been toying around with different ideas for my exhaust all summer, reading others posts and looking at pictures. Now it's time to finish it. I bought a muffler from TSC and temporarily plumbed it with pipe. Need some info on where I can get some exhaust pipe to replace the pipe fittings. Iv'e got 3 45deg elbows on it now. For the muffler guard I started with an old air filter container off an Oshkosh truck. Then I made a grid pattern on paper and transfered the points to the tube. Yes I drilled a lot holes, no I didn't count them. More to come.

The first picture shows the pipe fittings that I want to replace with something more pleasing to the eye. Second pic is the guard completely drilled and cut out. I then wrapped it around a steel pipe a slowly tightened it down with hose clamps and placed it in front of the heater. Wish I had a way to roll it, but I'm trying the next best thing. I got the temp up to around 600 deg. and hope for the best.

I guess I got lucky because it came out pretty **** good. Looks nice and round. Now just have to trim the guard to size, make the mounting brackets and paint. Thinking I might paint the main part of the muffler red and the inlet, outlet and guard black. Want to see if the red will show thru the holes in the guard.

Any muffler shop will have pipe down to 1 1/2". My shop gave me some for free. Or check with bike, ATV shops for throw aways. Or GT graveyards.

You did a great job on the muffler guard. Looks like factory.

Everything is painted and back on. Still working on getting exhaust pipe to replace the pipe fittings I used to plumb it together. Not sure on the black paint on the muffler outlet, may try silver and see how it looks.

Now that is sweet looking, try a muffler shop, take the pipe from the head to muffler off and bring it to them and they can fab one up and bend it so there won't be all the fittings just one smooth pipe.
Once again that looks awesome.

Thanks for all the :thThumbsU. I probably should have taken the old rusty snowcaster off for the pics. Not gonna win a tractor show with it on. That's a project for another day (year, if you know what I mean).
