Hi all,

got some issues with a neighbors LB 10330 (4-stroke Tecumseh) that I'm working on

The mower sat outside with gas in it for about 5-7 years so I did a total teardown and got a rebuild kit for the carb -- basically just gaskets and o-rings, float and stopper, etc.

Got the thing running beautifully once, mowed my lawn, started and stopped a few times. Gave the mower back and now they can't get it started. Also, they say when they pull the starter cord, a mist of fuel shoots out the muffler then it puddles up on the deck.

What gives? How do I fix this? I say the float may be hung up on something.

Crud from the fuel line broke loose and is keeping the needle from seating properly. Should be a screen in the tank keeping crud there if you didn't flush it out, but you'll need to pull the carb or at least the bowl and flush it again. You may want to pop on a new piece of fuel hose too.
