History
Bought from my father in 1990. Ran excellent up until 2016 when it started loosing power & cylinder was leaking oil. In 2017 replaced the K181 8 HP eng. block due to the oil leak.
Used a K181 8 HP block that my Dad had stored. Honed the cylinder, installed new .010 oversize piston & rings. Installed new wrist pin, all seals, & gaskets. Used the same crankshaft from orig. block which was turned -.010 undersize.
Installed new valve guides & had the valves ground to specs. & lapped them in.
Removed primary & secondary belts to check for wear & stretching.
Belts were good, reinstalled as they were new the year before.
I changed pt#’s 16 & 35 (yoke & clutch rod), to pt# 20, (Clutch Overide Assembly Adjuster). This is a part from a 1966 Model 110. (110’s & later. Have this part which makes the last step of Variator adjustment much easier.
Added a Tachometer/Run time meter.
Runs like a champ now.
