Purchased new in 2002 with the 3 speed Hi/Lo tranny. Previous model was a lawn tractor with a hydro drive and I had used it like it was a GT - ending up burning up the tranny. Found a 46" unused blower in 2006 for $350. Snapped it up and it finally got used big time in the 2009/2010 winter.
Have a Sears soft side cab for it that was for the LT1100 but it "fits" the GT 3000 barely.
Was going to my workhorse got GT stuff, but didn't like the manual lift of the sleeve hitch and so started looking for a GT with hydraulics on it - see my JD 430 garage.
HOWEVER, this WILL remain the workhorse for mowing grass, and for now, snowblowing. I may move the craftsman snowblower to the JD 430.
