History
this was bought by my dad in about 2004-5, and used it very little. after dad passed away, i had about 5 people ask me about it, saying that dad had promised it to them...
now i cant bring myself to sell it. it runs great, the mower works good, but doesnt mow quite as nice as the promaster 20 or kubota. (or as quick due to being 50" instead of 60" deck)
i think this would be most useful with some garden attachments if i can get a front pto adapter.... like the rotary plow or tiller. or even a snow blower! maybe one day.
i tried the snow plow attachment a little but im on gravel roads and it didnt work they way i was hoping. it would be great for paved roads/driveways/sidewalks with up to about 4-6" i think. i do like how you can change the angle left/right from the seat. front tires were hard to steer in the snow though, but since i have installed new tires so it would probably be better.
i am letting my neighbor use this all summer since his mower broke and i dont use this one too much. i will get it back in the fall for storage, and if i have time, i will try the snow plow again. i heard of a tip for improving steering by adding a bicycle chain in the middle of the front tires... i might try that too.
