My guys said they need scaffolding. On the way to the rental place, I saw a sign that said "free" and I can't pass on a bargain.

She is Gahlen, a "not for show" purebred German Shepard due to her floppy ears. I had German Shepards my entire life. Here is a pic of Kora, the previous GSD we had. https://www.mytractorforum.com/threads/pals.67284/#post-520977
  4. Snow Tonight/Tomorrow

    The Weather Station
When I finally called it a day yesterday, there was an inch of very fine snow that had fallen. Overnight another inch of large snowflakes fell so I will run the blade over it today.

Here's a pic of me all covered in snow and ice. Note the snow on the trees from the snow thrower.

I've not stepped outside yet this morning but it's looking like about 10 inches of the white stuff. Weather prognosticators are saying another inch or two today. At least it isn't too cold at -7C.

It is still the factory oil.
  8. R322TX Snow Blade Not Discontinued?

    Husqvarna/Dixon
I've been wondering just how much cold the hydros can tolerate before it balks. Well... I found out today. I woke up to -31C this morning with an inch of snow and decided to wait until noon for it to warm up. When I took out the trash at 11:00 AM, I put the cover over the Rider and stuck a...

I had a choice of a 48" or a 60" Swisher blade. Since the Husqvarna blade OEM'd by Kova is a 48" I was worried that 60" might be too much for it so I opted for the 48". Now that I see how strong the R322TX can push, I regret not getting the 60". They had it on clearance for half price but now...

I don't get why they run out of plywood to board up windows every year. What does everyone do, throw away the plywood they bought the last time? Anyone ever think of keeping them for the next time? I guess they must think there will not be a next time. Oh, and I get that this thread started...

We are fortunate whereby our power has never gone out for more than 4 hours and I calculated that in heavy rain, it would take 4 hours without power before the sump pit was at risk of flooding. I bought the genset years ago and have never used it in an emergency. I do run it now and then to...

Same here North of Frostbite Falls. -31C this morning and about an inch of snow. Supposed to get maybe 4 inches tomorrow.

The thing is that I wrestle with the walk-behind and turn in tight spaces so I am not always in between the two handles. The cab very much restrains you to stay between the handles. Then also I store it in tight quarters and the cab would get in the way. I'm pretty much done snow clearing and...

I know there are cabs for a walk-behind snow thrower but I've resisted getting one.
  15. Mailbox Protector

    Landscape and Yard Discussions
I've had my mailbox take a direct hit by the plow twice. Each time I hammered it back into shape. I had a vandal hit it twice with a baseball bat too and both times I hammered it back into shape. If you are only talking about protecting it from the snow hitting it and not the plow blade, then...

I don't know what you mean by dry gas. I'm not convinced that it was moisture in the gas to begin with. What I have noticed in really cold weather is moisture in the crankcase evidenced as a creamy foam around the top of the dipstick. The gas for the walk-behind comes from the same can and it...
  18. My R322TX died (solved)

I figured I should troubleshoot this further to save a pickup and delivery fee if it turns out to not be a warranty issue. First I verified there is power to the fuel cutoff solenoid. Then I confirmed that it was clicking. I tested with propane in the air intake and it sputtered so that...

Same here but I no longer own a pickup. If I really need a truck, I can borrow one from work or I could rent one.

That particular Ubiquiti UniFi G3 camera is actually in bad shape. The IR cut filter is stuck so some colours are off (I am wearing blue pants). The lens also needs to be cleaned. One of these days I might fix and clean it but I have another camera that overlaps so not a big deal right now.
