Craftsman Pro 27047

Anyone familiar with these units? I have a chance to purchase one with only 33 hours on it and they are asking $1750 OBO. Would this garden tractor be overkill for less than an acre to mow? How does...

Re: Looking for a new mower

Well none of these have lug nuts. I honestly donít need anything super badass. It will be used as a mower 99% of the time and the K58 or K62 trans should suit me just fine Iíd think.

Re: Looking for a new mower

Well, the GT235 sold before I could go look at it. I have been on the hunt for something else and came across a few LX280's and X320's. How good are the K58 and K62 transmissions? Beefy enough to...

Re: Looking for a new mower

So I have been chatting with 830King a little through PM about his 320. I have also reached out on the 265 posted in here by Jimbochap but have not heard anything back just yet.

I used to have an...

Re: Looking for a new mower

Yeah, Iíd want a foot hydro as thatís what Iím used to using and find it easier to use than anything by hand.

For a used unit Iíd want to stick under $1000. If buying new Iíll obviously spend...

Re: Looking for a new mower

Iím thinking the same thing. Iíd hate to spend $1000 on a 20+ year old tractor and have something go wrong with it.

I went and looked at a Cub Cadet XT2 and a John Deere S240. Also, JD is offering...

Re: Looking for a new mower

I guess maybe Iím confused? I am referring to the transmission. Is the 265 a foot operated trans or hand operated trans. I have a lot of stop, turn around, and go on my lawn.

Re: Looking for a new mower

I have not inquired about it yet. Looks like a nice mower but the hand hydro doesn't sound very appealing to me. Also, it's tough for me to pay that price on something that has 1000 hours on it. It...

Thanks for the info. Both of the mowers in my original post must have sold. I'll keep looking though. Would like to stay under $1000 for something.

I...
