You nailed it, I play Gibson guitars and have been doing so since 1962. Congratulations on the Gretsch, and the Electromatic is one of my favorite Gretsch guitars.

Many of my guitars are Gibson custom shop guitars and include an ES-345TD, 1960 Les Paul Historic, 1961 SG with sideways vibrola, and a B.B. King ES-355.

The other side of the coin is that I repair, build and rebuild Fender tube amplifiers from the 50's, 60's, and early 70's. I have amps all over the USA that studios and "A" level players come to me for. along with guys like you and I. Sorry for the late response.

I'm curious about your screen name. I sold an old gibson I'd bought back in '91. It was a 1956 ES125 that I had to come up with $600 to purchase. The previous owner apparently just stored the guitar and rarely, if ever, played it. It was pristine. The last few years, I seldom played it and decided it was worth too much to sit in my closet. So, I put it on Craigslist and a fellow traveled over two hours to see it. He sat in my livingroom playing it for another two hours. Finally, he gave me enough money to buy the guitar of my dreams....a new Gretsch electromatic with double cutaways, two pickups (strong), and vibrato, with case, and a new Fender Champion 100 with 2 12's and all those wonderful settings! Now, I can make some real music as I'm learning to play up the neck.
Please fill me in on the screen name.
