Oh NO, no more decisions as to which tractor to drive! Glad to hear you’re helping someone by giving up a great tractor.

I saw you have an X485. I'm picking up one without a 3 point hitch tomorrow and was wondering if you knew what 3 point hitch options there are for this tractor. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

    Darin,

Can you tell me how to get the top screw out of the rear light housing? I got it loose, but can’t get it the rest of the way out. Do I need to remove the fender pan? Not enough room for my hands and can’t see it either.

With plowing, I assume you don’t need a cab. Here in Cadillac, a couple of years ago, we were getting about a foot a day for most of a week. Even though the snow is very light and fluffy, it makes big piles. Snow blowing is the only way for me to deal with it all and the 54” blower on the X738 seems to put a lot of fine powder into the air, more than my 44” on the X360. I think it has to do with the clearance between the 2nd stage of the blower and the housing. I think it creates a lot more turbulence which ends up not going up the chute or if it does, it’s not flowing smoothly and can drift back onto the tractor. May have something to do with the increased forward speed with the X738 too. Throw snow into the air and drive into it. Not expecting to get cab done this year, but hope to for next year. Have been working out attachment points and general shape, based on earlier concepts that matched a design I found online.

    Hey Darrin,

Havenít talked with you for a while. Havenít heard anything from anyone about clusters. With having an X738 now without a cab, I can see how you might get water into cluster when snow covers it while blowing snow. Havenít done anything else on clusters. Getting lots of rain here in Michigan, so snow removal is about done for the Winter unless we get a late Spring snow. Hope things are well in Columbus.

So did you get the $1000 core back? What did you end up doing. Also wondering if you were able to figure out why it blew a rod? BTY his engine looks alot like yours just move the hole to center.

It works pretty good. Just have to keep mowing the grass the same way and "training" it. I can get some pics of my backyard if you like.
