I posted in the Simplicity forum to try and help an older lady find parts for 2003 Simplicity Legacy tilt steering column. I should know what parts she needs very soon, I just wanted to know if you had a source for new or used parts on these GTs. Thanks, Bill

Hi Josh, Did you pick up your Legacy XL today?

Thanks for the kind words! Everything I've picked up along the way, I got from folks on the forums, and friends I've made all over the country that get a kick out of these things like I do.

Unfortunately, your deck won't interchange. They are actually very different. I'm betting a guy with some time and tools could do it, but the decks for the 3100's are so common and inexpensive, finding one would be the better bet. Good luck, and congrats on the new machine!

Hi, You helped me with info on a deck for my 3112H I'm still looking but came across an Allis Chalmers 310 not sure if its 310D or H. Its a 1970 model with new tires all around, new battery the original cart and a working mower deck. It has electric lift but that is not working although the owner said the motor is running for it and he thinks its a shear pin. It also has a slow oil leak. Starts and Mows grass like a charm he claims. I see it tomorrow with an asking price of $250.00 OBO. I have a feeling it will end up in the bed of my truck. I will use it to cut grass but I wanted to ask you, will this deck work on my 3112H ot is the 310 a small frame tractor.

Congrats also on being featured here. It was nice to meet you through your pics and what not. I wish I had your talents. I loved seeing the collection.

Best wishes and thank you for all your help.

Hi there! I'm sorry, it has been a long, rough weekend (family emergency). Unfortunately, the B110 and B10 both sold Friday, and I'm trying to get around to removing/deleting ads. I can certainly keep my eyes peeled for another, similar machine. You're so close, you should swing by some time...the place is a zoo, but I'm down from 22 machines to 16, and then to 13 (as soon a few folks are able to make the trip and pick them up).

I need room for winter projects (and a few 3pt attachments for a Legacy!) =]

Gald to hear the B10 is earning it's keep! It's something special to have the old man's tractor, and keep it workin. I still have both my Grandfather's mows and pushes snow at my partents place, and the other just hauled and graded 10yrds of gravel. It's great knowing he'd get a kick out of all the stuff I do with his old tractors.

I saw your post on craigslist for the b10 and b110.
You gave me advice a few times on bringing back to life my grandfathers B10. I am happy to say I have been having fun with it and using it as my primary grass cutter and yard tractor all summer, and would love to keep it around another 50 years. I am located in GR and work close to Byron Center.
I may be interested in your B10 if you still have it for sale. I want to get another runner but would keep it running just so I have a backup/donor machine for my grandpas B10.
I don't know if you want to sell it into that type of situation, but what would you have to get for just the B10?

I'm a big fan! I haven't gotten any hours on it yet, and would like to find a deck so I can use it with my vac for leaves. It would ahve been a fun blower machine this past winter, since we finally had our fair share of snow. Still getting it now...

its about time and the diesel looks pretty good. any tweaks so far with it, besides charging issue or was that resolved? pretty common for muffler and shield to be in shape like that as they do stick out pretty good and previous owner probably knocked it off or caught it on something. did you put the ags on? how are the engine mounts holding up as it does move around a bit-mostly when trying to turn it off. thinking about a SN registry on these diesels too, to see how many are still around.
