    Jumper:

The purge procedure is pretty simple.

You can do this either with or without the rear wheels off the ground.

    1. Pull hydro release lever (the lever that allows you to move the tractor manually)

    2. Start engine, keep at relatively low RPMs.

    3. Operate hydro controls - go full speed in forward, then full speed in reverse. This is the actual "purge."

    4. Shut off engine, release bypass lever/rod.

    That's it! Pretty simple.

    jsoluna,

I hope you don't mind me messaging you but I have a question about the 310-0510 transaxle.

    https://www.mytractorforum.com/showth...=1#post3512114

Mine was giving me fits so I did a fluid change this past weekend but had some questions about purging, specifically, the bypass. Where/What/How do I purge it in bypass?

    For future reference:

    3000 Series PTO Belts:

It's been a while since I've done one, but here's what I recall:

    1. Remove side panels.
    2. Remove front grille/muffler assembly (two bolts on either side along front of frame).
    3. Remove upper belt guide front engine.
    4. Remove front deck hanger.
    5. Remove (or just loosen) bottom belt guide bolts.
    6. Remove PTO brake spring.
    7. Remove belts.
    8. Reassembly is reverse of removal.

Hardest parts I think are the front grille/muffler assembly bolts, they're a PITA to get to if I remember correctly.

Hope this helps, and like I said it may not be perfect but that'll give ya an idea!

    Justin

EDIT: On the Kohler Command equipped models, you can remove the belt guard with the front grille/muffler assembly in place. Much easier this way.

Justin, got my BIL's 3205 hydro fixed, working great except needs new reverse bushings. Needs new pto belts installed. What has to be removed to install the belts? I did some searching and did not find any posts about the procedure for these 3000 series. Any links or advice are appreciated. Going back up to Wisconsin this weekend for my sister's birthday and plan to change the belts while I am up there.

    Thanks

I am helping out my brother-in-law back home in Wisconsin with a charge pump problem on a 3205 he just purchased. I have posted a few comments, questions and a photo to an existing post about the gerotor on those charge pumps. If you have the time I would appreciate your input on my questions there. Either post there or PM, your call. Thanks in advance.

I'm not working for Cub anymore, unfortunately. The Volunteer are a nice piece of machinery, I'm sure you'll be pleased. The Kubota RTVs are also pretty sweet.
