Polaris 425 starter issue

I have a 2002 Polaris 425 Expedition with a brand new starter and starter drive,,that I am going to call the Bendix(right or wrong)lol

This starter has a separate starter drive(bendix) ,the bendix is installed in the engine casing between the stater and flywheel. Starter turns and engages the bendix sending a gear into the flywheel.

This machine has pull starter also,,,and it will start if pull started,,,,but with electric start it has NO spark. I tracked it down to the electric starter and bendix is turning the engine in the wrong direction.
And I am confused as can be!!!! How can this be possible??? I have heard of a starter running in wrong direction,,,,but the bendix will only engage if starter goes a certain direction. And they both are going wrong way!!
The flywheel is suppose to be turned clock wise to start,,,as the pull starter does. But the electirc start turns it counter clockwise!!
Ill have some pictures soon,,but this is crazy and I am stumped!!!

Re: Polaris 425 starter issue

I had to come back and admit I was completely wrong about the starter turning the engine backwards. Oops! It is turning it the correct direction,,but I have no spark with electric starter,,although without changing anything,,I do have spark if I pull start it!!
I believe the pulse coil is too far from flywheel to pick up the magnet on flywheel,,with electric starter,,but will pick it up with pull starter because it is moving slower. But I am not sure yet.
This is actually a good thing I am wrong about going wrong direction,,because I didnt have a clue of what could be done if it was going wrong way!! It seemed impossible,,and it was!!! lol
