A man can never have too many trailers...

...I'm one short now. I only have, let's see, 3 boat trailers, one homemade, one 25' travel trailer, 5 in all. But, right now I am renting a 6'x12' U-Haul to move some mess 450 miles, and thinking I might as well bite bullet and buy a good trailer. 6' or 7'x14'-16' enclosed is what I want. craigslist - forget it. I've been looking at trailers since I bought my JD 2210 in 2004! Used ones are almost as much as new for size I need! I'll be towing this uhaul to Springfield, MO, leave it there, then have to come back 450 miles to finish getting apartment mess to take back to Springfield. So, I'm thinking of just buying one there so I don't have to worry about rushing with the rental. Then I can use it to store some of this mess inside too until old house is done with rebuilding. I could keep telling my story about this...

Anyway, seems like what I need is about $3,500 - $4,500 cold solid lucres. Rental is costing me about $500 for this u-haul. Okay, I done.

That old man - he don't think like an old man...

I'm down from four trailers to two now, no boat trailer anymore. Just the 10' Hillsboro aluminum & the 18' Woodworth (a local builder).

Re: A man can never have too many trailers...

I've only got 3, a homemade 5x8, a 7x12 utility trailer, and last year got a 7x18 12k carhauler (mainly for the extra space to haul more & larger equipment). I probably will get rid of the 7x12, as it's only a 2k trailer, and the trailer itself weighs 1k, so it can't carry that much (I've broken the springs on it...)

Re: A man can never have too many trailers...

I'm pretty light. One boat trailer, one 6x10 utility trailer. I really want to upsize the utility trailer to a 6x12 or 6x14 at some point.

Have often considered adding an enclosed trailer, but really don't have the space or need.

Let's not talk about tractor carts, especially with my wife around, LOL... Somehow, I still have two 10 cuft carts and one 17 cuft cart. I know it's a different thread, but the tire count here is off the charts (I spend way too much time and money replacing tires).

Funny, Larry, as I was typing my post above, I was thinking that I really could use something that size around here too. That would get a lot of use with all the trees around the yard.
