Re: Sunrises

Nice, I guess we're both lucky to be on east facing water. Makes for some real memorable sunrises. Helps keep one grounded in reality for the day.

Re: Sunrises

Can sunsets count here? They're just as pretty, and in a still shot, you can't tell whether the sun is rising or setting. You also don't have to get up as early to make them.

These were all made from cruise ships:

Yeah they count. I just started this because most of the time people post pics of sunsets rather than sunrises.
Nice shots by the way.

The wife is looking to go on a cruise. I've never been on one. Can't see myself on a boat with a couple thousand other people for a week or so.

Re: Sunrises

wow awesome pics!

I love watching the sun rise. I love watching it set too. I have pics somewhere from the porch of my dad's cabin holding a cup of coffee.

I was on a job 3 years ago in Dec and was starting at 5am from the second floor I could watch the sun rise (yeah no exterior walls yet) just beautiful.

This is a sunset from Creation Festival North East this past year after a massive storm that blew tents, canopies, and chairs everywhere. I have pics of stuff flying 50-100 ft up in the air. Blankets, towels, tents.........

Mopar - Not sure about others, but there are restrictions keeping me from seeing your pictures.

Spent the weekend with friends on the Chesapeake, and snapped this sunset over the boats at Waterman's Crab House in Rock Hall

well you can't see mine but yours is upside down. LOL...............

ok lets try again then.

This one is the sunset after the big storm at Creation Fest North East.

I can't find the others because my PC died and the memory card in my "then" phone died after that before I got the phone pics onto the new PC.

Re: Sunrises

Ok I downloaded the pics off Facebook. Lets see if I can find them now. I hate windows 10........................

The first 3 are pics from a job I was on at 6am 20* out framing an office mezzanine space with no exterior walls up yet in 20 mph winds blowing right through.

The second 2 are sunsets from our camp In Huntingdon County PA.

You should try it once. I didn't think I'd ever enjoy a cruise, much for the reason you mentioned, but I really enjoyed it. We've done 4 so far; my daughter was part of the entertainment cast (dancer) for Norwegian Cruise Lines for 5 years, so we'd go on a cruise whenever she was on a ship. Get a room with a balcony, and you can enjoy the sea without having to endure the crowd. Late at night, most people are inside and you can wander the decks almost alone.
