New owner of an old JD 180 Lawn tractor

Bought the 180 when my walk behind mower crapped out, friend had just purchased a newer JD mower and was looking to get rid of his old 180 for next to nothing...his loss, my gain!

Joining the forum to get advice on keeping the old beast running, been an aircraft mechanic for almost 40 years, but that don't compute to SQUAT when it comes to JD, thanks in advance for all the help I hope to get in the future!

Welcome,
I had a 170 that I put a ton of hours on and sold it still running fine. Good mowers
