JD X500 brake issue

Hi everyone-it's nice to be a "virgin" again-lol. I have a 5 y/0 JD x500 with 400 hrs. Recently, when tractor engine is running but tractor stationary, I get a loud grinding noise when pushing about half way on brake pedal. It also grinds but not as bad with parking brake on. Only happens about 20% of time but started all of a sudden. I don't see linkage rubbing against anything. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Tom
