New 2019 R322TX... Updated Model of R322T

So there seems to very little information on this tractor...online (try to google it you will come it with next to nothing).

Really the only thing I could find (other than the few blurbs on this forum) is a Husqvarna dealer on a facebook post from May 2019 stating he ordered a R322T and got this R322TX. The part number was not even updated.

There is tons of questions on the go with this new model.
-What are all the changes?
-Are all changes cosmetic or also mechanical?
-Is this a Canadian only model as there was rumor the R series was discontinued in USA.
-It appears there is now a factory fabric cab available!

What I wouldn't give for a brochure on this. Dang...I tell you the dealers know jack squat. I had a dealer try to sell me a 2018 and he swore up and down there is no changes for the 2019's (that was in June of this year and it was one of the most knowledgable R322 dealers I could find!)

Lets this thread give everyone the info on this new updated model the R322TX!

I looked around on the East Coast web site and could not find anything related to the X version of the R322T. My local dealer is dropping off a dealer demo in a couple of days for me to try out but I suspect it is the non-X version that he wants to unload. I will see what it has for hours on it and decide whether to order a new TX or save a few bucks on the demo. Would be nice to have a good side-by-side comparison of the specs.

Talk in the long R322T thread is that the R322T is discontinued with no solid info of what if anything will replace it. Maybe this TX is the replacement?

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it!

Not sure about getting a brochure for a R322TX, but here's a page you can download an Owners manual for a R322TX.
Type R322TX where it states "Search by Product Number"

Re: New 2019 R322TX... Updated Model of R322T

I did some digging in the manual suggested by user b12 (thank you!) to sort out some of the technical differences...

Regarding the transmission...I think the change is very minor, but it is a updated model number with an "A" at the tail end of its model number.
R322T: Tuff Torq / K 574 KTM 10L
R322TX: Tuff Torq / K574A

Fuel tank capacity, engine model number and displacement remain identical between R322T and TX

According to the specs the length and width (without cutting deck) of the R322TX is marginally smaller than the R322T...this could have been a rounding from metric to imperial, and only now they are more accurate with their rounding. Height of the R322TX is apparently slightly higher (not sure if they measure off the top of the steering where or where???)

Weight in the R322TX is listed as "without fuel and deck" where the R322T manual lists the operating weight WITH the cutting deck...so I can't accurately compare those.

The 2019 manual also has a spec for "radio frequency"...what ever that is referring to? Does this thing have WIFI??? See attached image from the manual...

Re: New 2019 R322TX... Updated Model of R322T

And finally...my favorite. Side-by-side of a top view showing all the controls, etc. I don't own a R322T so I can't verify for certain, but changes appear to be
-Digital Display (was there no display of any kind on the previous R322T???)
-light switch
-high beam switch
-12v power outlet

Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of these :-)

Looks like the R322TX has got some Bluetooth capability.
On page 32 (Display Troubleshooting) of the owners manual there is mention of a Bluetooth Indicator, there is also mention of Digital Lockout and the stated cause is " This product is locked. Unlock your product with Husqvarna connect. "

It's Just a Shame It's Not Going To Be a 400 series With a K664 Trans & Hydraulic Lift & Hydraulic Power steering

I wonder if the R322TX's bluetooth capability has any relationship with the app that is shown in this youtube video ?

Re: New 2019 R322TX... Updated Model of R322T

Very cool. I honestly don't like technology like bluetooth on a ride on mower...its IMO not needed. If I want to check the hour meter...I'll go check the hour meter lol.

Anyhow, the crazy thing is the facebook dealer post in the beginning of the thread from from May 2019 means this mower has been available for sale for AT LEAST 4 months and really not a single word from any local dealers i've talked to (i've talked to lots) or the website. Seems odd.

Also what seems odd is if they are really discontinuing the Rider line...if they mean just disco'ing the R322T for the R322TX...then that is just a model refresh. Seems like some mixed information is floating around.

I have yet to hear of a R322TX in USA...all have been in Canada. Perhaps the Rider line is being phased out in USA???

Husqvarna UK has a R320X...what runs the BS motor. Looks identical to our R322TX then I think...

If you follow the link posted above for the owner's manual, it is listed as a 2018.

I got rained out from having the demo delivered tomorrow so it looks like I won't get to try it out until the weekend.

Actually the riders Have sold Very well In the United States Not as High as Europe But enough That It's doubtful that they will get rid of it. I have Been told By a Friend who is a Territory Manager for Husqvarna That the Current Model will be replaced with another Model. He wouldn't Give specifics Yet Until he's Got them In Hand It could very well Be the R322TX Though I am really Hoping it's a 400 series But I doubt it. Though It would also Be Nice if Husqvarna Brought the 500 series over as well

Re: New 2019 R322TX... Updated Model of R322T

Just got my R322TX back from the dealer. When operating the dash will show RPM and hour meters. Icons that work include: incline, mower engaged, lights, parking brake. The low fuel icon and beep will come on when the fuel is low. The fuel gauge does not show:

Not all the features listed in the manual are on the R322TX.

- There is no 12v power outlet
- The blue tooth function is not enabled

The dealer spoke to Husqvarna engineering who indicated the blue tooth, and fuel gauge functions are not supported by the current version of firmware used on this model.

I got rained out on the weekend as well. Meanwhile the grass is loving all this rain and growing like crazy.

The dealer finally delivered the demo last night and I mowed the very tall, very wet grass with it in mulch mode. I fully expected it to bog down as my Craftsman would but it handled it very well. I rode her hard and put her away wet. Will take it out this morning and clean her up.

What I observed about it is as everyone here said. No 12V outlet, gas gauge shows for only a second and disappears. Did not check for bluetooth.

I will need to drive it some more but first impressions are as follows:
The steering wheel feels small and I don't care for the hard plastic surface texture. Probably I would look for some sort of cover for it.
The height of the pedals seem a little off so transitioning between forward and reverse was clumsy. The braking is a little harsh if the pedals are released quickly.
I didn't like that I could not easily see where the rear wheels are pointing when turning the steering wheel while stationary. It was also hard to anticipate which way the deck will move but this is something one just has to get used to.
Ground speed felt a little slow and so I wonder how well it will do pulling my sweeper which really needs speed to throw the clippings to the back of the hopper. I will have to get the wife to race me with her on the Craftsman to see how they compare. To be fair, I had modified the Craftsman to go faster.

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it!
