2018 Husqvarna TS348XD #960 43 02-42?

I'm going to see my dealer tomorrow about possibly ordering my first riding lawn mower. For over 30 years, I have been mowing my 3/4 acre with 21inch walk behind self propelled lawnmowers, a new one every 3-4 years. It always took me around 1 1/2 hours to do the job. Being 60 years old, I thought I'd get one and see what's it all about. Never drove one before except I took a dry run around the yard with my son's GT48DXLS mower.

You won't be disappointed, I can tell you that....lol. We Hand mowed our yard for almost 13 years, and that took 3 hours and 2 mowers and sometimes 2 tanks of gas each. When the wife could no longer walk it, I had to keep going and found that sometime over the winter...I got old. Now I ride instead of push, and that's a great thing. I only use a push mower to get around certain areas of my acrage where the rider can't get in. I have now acquired a second Husqvarna YTH2042 with a blown courage ( fire damage actually) and will re-power it this summer, just to have a back up mower just in case.

It took me 3 hours to cut a half acre with a 21 inch push mover with a bag. Now with a tractor and bagging it takes an hour and half.

You will definitely be cutting the mowing time down while riding in style. I was looking at their line up and the TS series are really nice looking machines with the TuffTorq K66 transaxle and interestingly they now have a new TS "X" model that has a Hydro-Gear G7 transaxle. Good luck.

+1

I'd never switch back to a classic lawn mower. With that torque conververs and other stuff the modern lawn and garden tractors have, there is IMHO almost no reason to keep a "walk-behind" for most work.

My local dealer ordered the Husq TS348XDS this morning, he said it should in around a week. It'll still be awhile before testing it out, I have 3 foot snow drifts throughout my yard to disappear first.

They don't make a TS354 XD with a Kawasaki engine, with 54" inch deck, only Kohler, I wonder how come.

Yes they do, 960430245 00 their website is not real friendly, you have to do a pull down in the right place to find it.

Talking Re: 2018 Husqvarna TS348XD #960 43 02-42?

I just got the call that my Husqvarna is in, he must have overnight it to be shipped in so quickly. It'll probably be this weekend that I can pick it up.
