Massey Furguson TO35 - F40 compatibility.

My TO35 has a cracked and now broken rocker shaft assembly cover. I found one at another yard out of state and they say it's off of a F40. The pictures look really close to mine. Is it the same trans and rear differential?

From looking at the pictures they look identical. if it's not too much money you might take a chance on it; you're not going to find those just everywhere

Post a pic of your little Massey I'd like to see it.

Yeah I rolled the dice I'm with you I think they are nearly identical. Hopefully it will get here soon I'm itching to get this thing running.

My little Massey so far. I want to get that cover put on then get the spark plugs pulled, shoot a little oil down each cylinder, and clean the carb. With any luck she'll start right up and run like a champ. The previous owner said he worked over the hydraulic rams on the bucket. We'll see when we get it started.

Would the bucket take the same 90 w as the trans or different hydraulic type fluid? Also what's the green light for by the starter button?

Re: Massey Furguson TO35 - F40 compatibility.

As stated, you’re going to have a good time 🙂 using this tractor after you get everything straightened out. With the FEL, I hope 🙏 you have power steering or you will really get a workout 😟 when using the loader. If it also has a 2 stage clutch, the first time you start to overload the PTO, you will love 😍 just partially pressing the clutch to stop the tractor, but keep the PTO running until it clears the load. Then letting the pedal up and mowing, bailing, etc. Easy to work on, parts of every kind, new & used, and dependable if you take care 🙂 of it.
