If that $1500 is sales tax, you may still be obligated to report and pay it unless you're able to claim some exemption.

No, that was pre tax.

I am aware that I am still responsible for paying tax even on an out of state purchase. That is why the "buy it from an out of state dealer" option is NOT really all that promising.

I stopped in to the closest one and talked with a sales guy. He has sent me a quote and it is less than $600 below list price. This is just under $40K for the package.

Is there no dealing on these, like with a car?

What has been your experience when making this investment?
That's just bad dealers. Often I request brochures off the Kubota web site so I don't have to take stuff from my dealer when I'm not serious about buying immediately and as soon as I request it on the Kubota site he is phoning me the next day telling me to come in and try them. So they must get notified from Kubota?

Anyway when I bought my B2620 I think it was $2500 off I got, plus he gave me a deal on each of my Land Pride implements and gave me a John Deere JS48 push mower at cost. Not to mention a few hats, a Kubota jacket and a nice Kubota binder to put my service and parts manuals in.

Re: list price vs actual price

What is depressing for me and other Canadians though is......when I bought my B our money was at par. So I got it cheaper than what was on the Kubota build and Price after my dealer discounts.

But this last summer I was going to buy a new B2601 with a loader, backhoe, mower, all the remotes and third function. Was in the low 30's.
Went to my my dealer and buy the time we did the money exchange and tax it was $47,000!!!

So needless to say I will be waiting until the money evens out again, if it ever does.

I've been calling around for my son trying to find an L4060. I called probably 18-20 dealers. Haven't found one with an assembled L4060 ROPS model. Anyway about 1/2 didn't want to discuss price and about 1/4 gave me prices right then and there and the other 1/4 haven't called back. I got prices that were anywhere from 5-14% off list.
