Re: Tricked Out Tractors

Although it has a JD hood and firewall/dash, it looks like that GT in that 3rd pic may have been built on a Bolens chassis. The rear fender is definitely from a Bolens large frame. The deck looks Bolens, too. What do you think, OB? Cool hybrid though, in true hot-rodding fashion.

Bolens HT23, 54" hydraulic blade (18085), 2-54" mower decks (18110), 42" Sno-Caster (18044), 48" York rake, 12" Brinly Moldboard plow, 3-point hitch (18086), Alzwelding Loadlifter, 28" Ag tires, rear wheel weights, chains, Johnson Model 14 FEL, Brinly 60" rear blade.
Bolens 1253-01, 1253-02, 42" blade (18532), 33" tiller (18618), 36" Sno-Caster (18516-04), 2-42" mower decks (18421-01), 42"mower deck (18423), rear wheel weights (2 sets), chains, 10" Brinly Moldboard plow, Brinly sleeve hitch.

I do believe you are right.

Note that the deck is shaft driven from the front PTO as well. Pretty much screams Bolens.

Re: Tricked Out Tractors

I saw the shaft, too and thought the same thing, but I don't know enough about JD as to whether they adopted a similar system somewhere along the line.
