Do you have names for you tractors/mowers

Do you have names for your equipment? I only have names for the ones I consider special to me . My walking tractors my Grillo is Tiqvah Hebrew for hope. As in I hope to have the space for the garden I want someday . My Gravely is Esher Hebrew for blessed as it was a gift I was blessed by the gift . The rest of my stuff are just tools

Every breath I take as a Free man was paid for with the blood of an American Soldier
From Concord and Valley Forge to the sands of Iraq
and mountians of afghanistan American soldiers have
paid the ultimate price For our Freedom.I am ever mindful
and for ever greatful for their sacrifice
My heros have always been American Soldiers

Re: Do you have names for you tractors/mowers

Actually since I have a JD 2305 and a X590 I just use the model names as their names. I don't get that attached to equipment as if I decide to trade it off then I have to come with a new name. Don't take this wrong as I really like my JD tractors I just never name them otherwise then the model numbers.

My John Deere Collection
2009 John Deere 2305 with Front End Loader, Backhoe and 62C Mower
2017 John Deere X590 with 54" Accel Deep Mower

I don't know about my inner child but I have a inner idiot that surfaces when I least expect it.

Re: Do you have names for you tractors/mowers

I use the city name where I bought the tractor. That way my wife knows which one I am talking about. Right now I have Rome [ GA ], Franklin [ NC ], and just sold Ball Ground [ GA ]. The guy across the street was cutting with Powder Springs [ GA ] today.

There is also The Goose [ aka "That is a cooked goose!! " ]. It started out as a BBQed GX345 JD

After getting my retina torn by the hard ride in my meadows on my old 345, it got christened, "Teddy Roosevelt".

Wife calls my 2 Cubs "Tractor 1, and tractor 2". I called my old Wheelhorse 266H "Princess" as it needed to be treated like one to do its job. I hated "Princess" and it hated me.

Re: Do you have names for you tractors/mowers

Mine just go by their numbers.....and I do well to remember those!

In the past:
Craftsman, MTD, Snapper, 1961 Ford 801 Powermaster, 1992 LB 4.5HP 580546, 2003 LB 10552 6.5HP Duraforce, IH Cub Cadet 105, 2001 Cub Cadet 2146 14HP Linamar 38" deck, love of my life (Sold 10 Dec 2011), 2007 Cub Cadet 2550 22HP Kohler Vtwin 50"deck (Sold 22 Aug 2018)
In use:
1994 JD LX178 sweet little mower, only 15HP, twin cyl, 38" deck, liquid cooled!
1998 JD 445 22HP Shaft driven wheels, shaft driven 60" deck, diff-lock, hydraulic lift, power steering, fuel & temp gauges, fuel injected, and liquid cooled! This machine has it all!
2005 Nortrak NT 254 25HP Diesel 5' FEL, here's a case of cost-cutting, I only need a tractor 3 or 4 times a year

Going to try to stay Liquid Cooled the rest of my life! Hey, it gets HOT here!

I generally use the designated model number for my JD's, however, the Power King is "PK", Cub Lo Boy is "Cubby" & the Allis Chalmers G is "Allis"!
