Muffler repair advice requested

I need to do some repair work on the muffler for the Kohler engine on my Cub and wanted to know if anyone has used either of these: https://www.jbweld.com/products/highheat-epoxy-putty or https://www.jbweld.com/collections/8...-b-extremeheat and if so how did it work out for you? I really do not know how hot the muffler actually gets and not having a welder I thought about giving JB weld a try first. Thanks in advance.

Re: Muffler repair advice requested

I'll agree with @rayjay and just buy one. I've used JB Weld to repair one on a end of a 314 muffler that rusted out, and it held up till I bought a new one from mother Deere.
