Who let the cows out?

Turned the cows out on the first pasture today. They always run at full speed into the new pasture, kickin', buckin', and checking the fence lines before they settle down to munch on some fresh grass.

Re: Who let the cows out?

I can see why they were happy. Nice lush looking grass.

Just make sure they do not get to much of that nice green stuff. Nothing much worse than having to purge a bloated cow.

We feed them some grass clippings for a week or two along with hay. Then we make sure they fill up on hay before turning them loose. Also give them a bloat block.
