That's strange, at the top of the page you should have "Active Subscriptions", then below that you should see "MyTractorForum.com: Premium Membership", and to the right it will have the dates.

Re: Life Time Membership Poll

Thanks, I have never seen subscription expirations before, even in the classic mode, that is why I requested the feature.

Re: Life Time Membership Poll

Like Mike's, mine shows up at the top of the image you posted above the available subscriptions. I'll do some digging in the controls and see if I can find a switch to flip someplace.

Edit: Take a look now Larry and see if it shows up there.

Re: Life Time Membership Poll

we have 22 votes in and most are in favour for the lifetime. perhaps if not lifetime, a five year or ten year subscription? as mentioned, lifetime is quite long. Also, when should this poll close?

I think a period of forum stability may be needed for more interest in a lifetime or even long term membership to be generated.

Granting automatic lifetime memberships to those 10yr members with a continuous history of contributing to the forum could also start the ball rolling.

Just my CDN k'nickles worth......

I see what you did there

I can grant a free one-two for 10yr members if that's what you want? eh?

Lee, I have no idea how many members would fall into the continuously contributing 10 yr catagory.

What I do feel, is that after 2 recent attemps to change MTF from what it was to what someone else thought it should be, and the hacking fiasco, which seems to happen to many organizations, something needs to be done to resecure the base from which this forum originated.

Unless you can tell me otherwise, I believe the money is in the advertising, not these members dues. It is the members postings that attract the site traffic.

These dedicated Folks have built this forum for VS, not the other way around and awarding them lifetime memberships would cost VS nothing.

There are a lot of competing forums out there. Maybe VS owns them all and doesn't care, but being able to flaunt a long list of "lifetime members" may give MTF the edge you are looking for,

I didn't see that it closed so I'll chime in with "yes".
The last few comments make so much sense in regards to where and how the
site makes it's profit, I'd think it would be only fitting and a positive gesture on the sites/owners appreciation.

I'm a lifetime member on one of your other forums and would love to see that offered here too.

BTW, thank you for this wonderful forum.
I've made contacts & friendships that otherwise would never have happened.

Thanks again,
Don
