It's Only money - but I got a tractor!!

Been living somewhat rural most of my life - been on a graden tractor sized machine since i was 8 years old (now 56).

Last year got a new GF after a divorce and she's got a 25 acre horse farm..before her divorce she paid to have 'tractor work' done..well, being the manly man I am I said to **** with that my dear, let me do it!

So I went and found a 74ish L175 kubota (17hp, no loader) and began acquiring attachments and having at it. Would LOVE a loader, but not the right tractor for such a thing (if one could be found or built even).

Maybe a NEW tractor..dreams of the good life, right? Well, spring is here and I'm trying to brush hog 20 acres of horse pasture with a 4' hog and 17hp tractor..feels like a losing battle, it's growing faster than I an cut it!!

And there's that pile of manure from over the winter..moved it to the garden (at my house - her chickens would eat the plants) one shovel full at a time (onto a trailer..and off..well, mostly unloaded with the box blade).

So...saw an ad for a kioti..$295/month. is almost paid off, it's $250/month..just dropped direct TV and that makes up the difference...Maybe I CAN get a new tractor aftertall.

Heard of Kioti, good things of course, and my new neighbor and his dad have them (and had for years too). He raved about them.

OK, wth, it's only money, right?

What I WANTED was a CK4010SE...and maybe a cab too. Well, we can dream, right?

What I GOT was a CK3510HST, with some options - rear hyd port (gonna do a top link), cruise control (for that pasture mowing), link pedal (awesome! will be great for running round and loader work), mirrors, armest, loaded tires, horn, floor mat (last 3 for free), and of course a loader. $22451 out the door. Works out to 327/mo - no money down, no they do that I don't understand.

Now to sell the Kubota and MMM, the 4' hog and get a 6' hog...and top link..and pallet forks...and I'd love a 7' rear finish mower...and gonna need a way to remove snow in a few months...

About $3500 less than an L33 kubota.

Now...I'll ask my next question in a new to follow when it's delivered (friday if UPS gets them the parts soon enough)

Re: It's Only money - but I got a tractor!!

Congrats on the new machine. Kioti uses several different engines in this line of tractors:

CK2510HST 3A165LWB @ 24.5hp
CK2610HST 3A165LWM-U @ 24.5 hp
CK3510HST 3F-TH4-U @ 34.9 hp
CK4010HAST 3F-TH4-U @ 39.6 hp

It's my understanding that accessories (fuel pump, hydro pump) and emissions equipment is what changes the available crank HP. These are basic diesel engines with mechanical FI. I don't think you can easily hot-rod the engine to a higher HP.

Looking forward to some action photos and a ride report.
