BARN FIND! Whats it worth?

Had an oppertunity to check out a small tractor that I have been working on the owner to sell me to sell locally for some time. It was stored under cover in lean to. Has not been run in a couple years. Went over to check it out today. Brought a battery. It fired right up and ran great.

Heres the info

Cub Cadet 7205 Diesel 3 cyl 780 hours with loader 4x4 Power steering.

Dusty but runs well. Lights did not seem to work. Def needs a clean up and fluid / filter / service and maybe some fresh paint. I ran it for a bit nice and easy and everything seemed to work well oil was clean and machine operated well. Tires has some minor dry cracking nothing major. Front loader pistons had some minor rust that seemed to come off when I rubbed it maybe some light steel wool to clean them up?

Seems like a cool little tractor to do light work with maybe move some snow and brush etc. So whats it worth? Is it a good machine? What should I look for besides the obvious leaks and such.

Re: BARN FIND! Whats it worth?

Don't have a clue on what its worth.

Only know issues to me are drive shaft and pump related issues. Make sure you make the drive shaft longer if it hasn't already been done The drive shaft were to short and hardly engaged the splines. They'ed striped the splines and the drive shaft would slide off under load. It is not pretty when they do Cub junked many with less that 50hrs because of the issues

So just check and make sure, but with that many hrs im sure its fine. But to me looks in pretty good shape

Best of luck getting it, and hope somebody has an idea on value. I'd guess 4 G's or less on a dealers lot. That is just a thought though

Re: BARN FIND! Whats it worth?

Wow--nice find--looks like a solid little tractor. Is that the only accessory--The FEL?

Maybe offer $ 3,200, if you know this person good...Not too low--don't insult, but not high enough to burn you out, either. You are going to have to spend some $$getting her back in good running order. I'd be all over that one after a careful check-over.

PS--You no , I have uttered this before when I see things like this--WHY in the world would a machine like that just sit, at least covered up??
I know--situations and times change, but ??

$6500 would likely be a low fair asking price on Craigslist around here.
