Cub Cadet/Yanmar SC2400 Parts/Service

Hello everyone, I'm considering the purchase of the Cub/Yanmar SC2400. My concern is that there is little information on parts and service for these machines and the few Yanmar dealers I called didn't sound too knowledgeable on the Cub cadet part of the equation.
I just don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about future serviceability of this tractor.

Current owners, am I wrong about this?
Many thanks.

Posting to subscribe to this thread. I've seen Cub Cadet SCUT for sale, usually for much less than their green or orange cousins. But considering you posted in Feb. and seeing there is a lack of traffic in the Cub Cadet SCUT forum in general, and Cub Cadet no longer makes a SCUT, I guess I would worry.

I also notice that the Yanmar SCUT forum gets very little traffic.

Re: Cub Cadet/Yanmar SC2400 Parts/Service

Ben,

I just now got back on here after a LONG abscense. I am the proud owner of a 2009 Cub Cadet Yanmar SC2450. Bought him new and I am very happy with the unit. If I have any issues, I take it back to the dealer from whence I bought it and they take care of any and all issues I may have, even though they no longer carry the brand.

Sure there have been many times I wished i had looked closer at either JD or Kubota or Mahindra or. Case or Massey or
.....but I looked at the close proximity of the dealership at the time, well that and $$$$$.

My SC2450 came stock with the back hoe and FEL. For options given my local, I ordered the 45" blower with electric chute control, all steel cab, heater and work lights. I have utilized EVERYHING on that tractor. Sure there have been times that I wished I would have listed to my wife and bought the Cub Cadet Yanmar 2800, but I'm happy with this guy. Cost as much as my 2007 VW Convertible Beetle, but I can't blow snow with the bug, nor pull up stumps or move dirt.

Being that this is a late post, wonder what you ended up getting. And if you are still looking, I have given it my best shot in as far as opinion.

Yanmar in now on its own.....maybe you might want to go that route.

Thanks for the reply Luggy,
I ended up getting reeled into a Kubota, they baited the hook with 0% financing and some implements.
BX2680 with FEL, back blade, 60 in MMM, and Land pride rotary cutter. Couldn't be happier.
