Cub Cadet SC2400

Hey all,

Looking for some advice. It looks like for my budget and needs, mainly mowing 4-5 acres and small projects, digging etc. that the Cub SC2400 would be a good fit. I'm having a hard time finding any near me (Greater Portland, OR area), is there a "good" place to look for used SCUT's or just hit up the local dealers? I'd really like to find something in the $5000-7000 range that is in decent shape and solid even though I know that can be a difficult task. I saw one in some google searching at Sioux Tractor that looked pretty clean and low hours but probably already sold. https://www.fastline.com/2009-Yanmar...b44eb48fb.aspx

Appreciate any input!

Re: Cub Cadet SC2400

Most likely you will have a difficult time locating a SC2400 in the price range that you desire or for that matter the John Deere 2305, Kubota BX series of that era as most if not all are several thousands dollars more, The other thing the Cub Cadet SC2400 is what most would call a orphan as it was only produced for a few years in a joint venture by Cub Cadet and Yanmar. Yanmar and Cub Cadet went their separate ways only a short time later. So that being the case you still should have support on this tractor from Yanmar and they are a good tractor.

Do you have any recommendations to an alternative? It's really not in the budget to head north of 5-6k so I know that puts me in a not so SCUT category. I've been looking at the cub Xt2 gx54 D it looks to have ample implements and to be a good main use mower..??

Re: Cub Cadet SC2400

Here is another option.
X500 Select Series Lawn Tractors | X570, 54-in. Deck | John*Deere US

$6299.00 and can use rototillers snow blowers and snow plows and rear plows.

Right now John Deere is offering zero percent interest and up to 60 months to pay off, So if you put down a couple K on it you would be around $71-73 Since your state does not have sales tax it is a good deal.
