Re: kobalt tools

I would go with Milwaukee M18 and buy used. Around here there is tons of cordless tools on CL or FB market place. My current Sawzall is a B&D 18v but I am heavily invested in the older B&D stuff. I have adaptors that let me use the new B&D 20v lithium batts. You can find the B&D tools for $5 to $15 on CL and FB but they only make sense if you already have batts on hand.

Re: kobalt tools

My friend who runs an auto repair shop bought a Kobalt 1/2" air impact gun when his Snap-On one decided to crap out,to use as a back up until he got it back from the tool guy who sent it out to be rebuilt..

He's still using it daily and he says its almost as powerful as his $500 Snap-On one was and it's holding up well..it cost about $150...

I have a few Kobalt ratchets and like them, they are much better than Craftsman ones and so are Husky brand ones from Home Depot..also have a few pairs of Kobalt pliers and side cutters that have worked well, the cutting pliers have a compound leverage dewhickey and will cut thick steel wire like chain link fence easily..
