GCV190 TroyBuilt 3100psi pressure washer Cam keeps going out of time.

So my dad purchased a 3100PSI Troybuilt from work for $50, was warranteed and no issues found. Used it 4 times then when I went to use it to clean my new to me sears suburban, cord rips out of my hand. Adjusted valves no change, Then I noticed the cam marks weren't lining up when the piston was at top dead center (took me 3 hours to figure this out). So line everything back up starts up first pull, my dad uses it today to clean the fence. Starts it up cleans for about 30 minutes. Shuts it off to take a break, we are back to cam timing off again (decompression valve not opening exh. valve).

I am scratching my head, the belt is not off and looks to be in good shape. No missing chunks, no missing teeth on the plastic cam gear. Decompression spring thing is working fine not sticking. My only thought is to order the updated valve cover, or replace timing belt and cam. And I see no evidence to point twards that....

Help plzzzz....I do this as a hobby, but my dad is really proud of this pressure washer and it litterally is brand new. Need to get it fixed for him.

Just gonna update this for other people who have dealt with similar frustration.

The crankshaft gear was split in 3 pieces. Its weird how the symptoms played out and how it would stay in time long enough to use it but the minute you shut it off it would jump time.

There was another set of issues with replacement motor...User created. Eitherway solved the problem.
