keihin carburetor 24 053 help needed

Hey all, I have a Grand Sierra 2200 and the kohler has one of these carbs on it. I recently took it off and cleaned it, it ran better at first, but now it's losing power/rpms on turns, and just in general. I think it may be running lean, or too rich for all I know. Does anyone have any advice or experience with these carbs? Even general stuff like how far out to back the screws, or float adjustment, anything would help.

Positive its a carb possible? Fuel, fuel lines, filter and every thing checks ok. Then its a carb problem.
The fact that the problem only occurs under curtant circomstaces would suggest a fuel delivery issue.

Ok, I bought a brand new carb, replaced a coil, new spark plugs, new fuel filter, and I drained the tank and put in fresh gas. It still has a skip in it. Anyone have this happen in these Kohler ch22's? I'm getting desperate at this point.

maybe check if there's a leak in the intake manifold gaskets (manifold to head and carb to manifold)?
