Ariens GT snowblower attachment

Hey all, just seeing if anyone has repaired a gear box on one of these old 48 inch snowblowers. I believe the model I'm working on is 830009 or close to that, but the badge was gone. I've got all the parts, but can't figure out how to get the worm gear in the box, and onto the impeller shaft, after I put in a metal seal, or reducer it whatever it is just before the adjustment plug on back. Well if this makes a lick of sense to anyone if appreciate the help, or just what you have done when replacing one of these rascals.

Maybe it would be helpful to include a picture of the gear and the gearbox you're trying to get it in to. I don't know anything about them but just got an Ariens GT so it's possible that one day I might also need the answer to your question.

My "honey-do list" is so long it has chapters.

This one I got from a cool guy in CT, on CL, I have a newer model that came in pieces when I bought the tractor, I'll get that one running next winter, this one was just more complete to get done in the short term

Re: Ariens GT snowblower attachment

Very nice! Someone not too long ago had one, a Sierra with snowblower attachment and various other pieces on the LetGo app. He was from around here I thought. Only wanted like 300 or 400$. If I did have so many projects going already I probably would've snagged it. It was listed for months with no takers. Just sold not to long ago.
