Wonder if they’ll take a couple 332’s as trade. That would be sweet to own but I can think of a few better ways to spend a half a million dollars.

Would need some special permits to get that out to Long Island. Definitely would turn a few heads on the GW, Tri-Borough or Throgs Neck bridges.

Ummm, I'm thinking that may have been pushing my luck, guys. Bringing home 250 chickens, a firetruck and a 10 ton road roller is one thing, but that may have tested my trailer's weight limit...........and my wife's patience

Talk about a beautiful beast though. I hope it goes to a place that plans on bringing it back.

.....just call me Ellis

Folks say I'm lazy, drunk and stupid. Well, I got news for them......they're only 2/3 right.

They say you catch more flies with honey than vinegar, but I've always had my best success with a dead squirrel

Want to see what happens when you join parts from about 6 GT's, farm tractors, walkbehinds, ship parts, push mowers, trailers, scrap air compressors, CNC lathes, junk refrigerators, tread mills and more? If so, check out me and Mike's most excellent Gravely Custom Build and Adventure Thread

Yeah, I could see that pushing her over the edge.
Hopefully, someone will buy to restore or donate to Steamtown in Scranton so they can bring it back to life.

Re: Paging tiretrx! It's in PA, and has your name on it!

Well, looks like you missed out, tiretrx, the listing is down! Bummer... The chickens could have helped with the delivery, possibly... With lots of flapping...

I hope this means it went to a good home, and not that they just pulled it because a bunch of rubberneckers started hitting the ad!

Although I am kinda wondering how a 1982 Stutz Blackhawk could be flagged as "we found something similar" by eBay... LOL!

Would've been fun to test drive it.

Those controls inside looked a little crusty from sitting where it's at. Sure would be a neat thing to see in person and come upon though. Hope it gets new life brought back in it.

Seller dropped the price to $375K. I'm sure Tiretrx can afford that!

Re: Paging tiretrx! It's in PA, and has your name on it!

Second chance, Ellis. Don't let it get away this time. It's 375K *OBO*, so who knows..
You could enjoy the scenic rail trip from Pittsburgh to your place. Just build a spur off of the Ronkonkoma-Greenport line to your yard. Think of the things you could bring home with a few freight cars.

Ironic, we drove home from Pittsburgh yesterday. I could have picked it up for you.

That is a locomotive that needs to be saved, and restored to original running condition. Hopefully it will go to a train museum.
