Re: Whats that falling from the sky?

If I never see a snowflake again I'll be quite happy. I much prefer temperatures like we had today (I took this to send to a friend back in Iowa).

Re: Whats that falling from the sky?

It hit 60 here yesterday!..but the WIND was gusting over 50 mph too, typical of this area--every nice "warm" winter day is usually spoiled by high winds..

Sunny out here now and 33 degrees,25 degrees lower than this time yesterday, but the wind has died down..
Tomorrow morning we are in for a bit of cold rain in my area, but just north of here by a few miles it may stay cold enough to snow from 4 am until about noon, very little accumulation is expected,a coating to 2" max--then its expected to warm into the 40's again...sunny Friday, more RAIN Saturday again, and temps are expected to remain in the 40's for highs and 20's at night..was colder in November than it is now here, and we had 6" of snow before Thanksgiving,it was 13 degrees on that day here too..no snow at all since then..

I'm a bit worried about this winter--last time we got a "late start" after an early snow was in 2015 when we had a 22" storm dump on us in December 2014,then nothing until the last week of January--then it snowed every 3-4 days until March and a total of 12 feet fell and none of it melted between storms....don't want to live thru another winter like that one,it was below 10 degrees most of February 2015 too, lots of high winds drifted the snow too..
