I haven't cut the grass in three weeks. It's all brown. Dead leaves in the yard.

Oh wow, it has rained or thunder-stormed here for weeks but we are suppose to have a few days without rain before moving back in next week. I could really tell it when I was finally able to trim & mow today since last week.

Re: Rain finally is here.

Drizzly and very humid here today, and the "severe thunderstorms" they had been warning about for this morning the past several days never materialized,I guess the bulk of the moisture went further west & inland..but its still crappy enough to call today a wasted day as far as any outdoor activities...the rest of this whole upcoming week is predicted to be more of the same--"tropical rain forest" monsoons intermittently with some sun poking out in between, with 70+% humidity...my least favorite "summer" weather....wont be getting much done outside this week..

Had a few very nice days last week here with dew points in the 40's and about 75 degrees..if only that would have stuck around longer...I notice its getting dark earlier already too...August is depressing,we lose nearly an hour of daylight during the month..

Re: Rain finally is here.

We got 5 inches yesterday. An inch or so today. The next 10 days 100% chance of rain. Where's it all coming from?

Re: Rain finally is here.

I talked to my brother in VA and he said they are finally got some rain today after a couple of weeks or so. He said his yard was not in too bad of shape but a few more days of dry would not have been good at all. We have finally had 2 days so far with no rain-go figure.

What city is he in? Northern Va. got 5 inches yesterday and at least 2 today. I'm 10 miles north of Va.
