Re: CCKA Rebuild

You did a really nice job! How many other threads did you start, I learned a lot reading it.

Never argue with an idiot, they'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Re: CCKA Rebuild

Looking good! New paint on the motor, parts of the lift hitch, and wheels and original paint on everything else?

When I first brought the tractor home I started this below thread to track what I found and if I could get it running.

Pretty much, rebuild the engine, replaced a shifter fork, new coil, kirks point saver, electric fuel pump, oil pressure gauge in dash and lots of other odds and ends.

The original paint looks pretty nice in the pictures. I prefer them original for as long as possible.

I went and picked up my cab I have been waiting for. Really happy with it and how it stops the wind. I have to do something about how loud it is in there now though. It echoes and you hear noises that you don't normally hear. This is kinda scary especially when you just rebuilt the engine!

Is that one of the two for sale recently on eBay that were up in the UP?

How about just wearing earmuffs?

That thing's so cool it should be wearing a pair of Ray-Bans! Very impressive set-up, Steve

Want to see what happens when you join parts from about 6 GT's, farm tractors, walkbehinds, ship parts, push mowers, trailers, scrap air compressors, CNC lathes, junk refrigerators, tread mills and more? If so, check out me and Mike's most excellent Gravely Custom Build and Adventure Thread

The CCKA rebuild is still a sucess, it has been a reliable strong engine.

Re: CCKA Rebuild

Cool video, Molly didn't seem too pleased about it. Or was it the photo bombing dogs.

The Onan sounds great!
