Mackissic Chipper/Shredder

Welp I finally got me a chipper/shredder. It is practically new. All I had to do was buy a belt. The price was right too. The only issue I have is that I can't remove the bolts holding on the chipper blade. Hopefully I can break them loose with some heat.

I've always wondered about those. How well does it work? How big a stick will it eat?

Re: Mackissic Chipper/Shredder

I have a chipper/ shredded too but have yet to take blades off. What I gather make sure the heads of bolts are cleaned out really good and use a real good hex wrench. Then heat if needed. Then good luck..!

It worked quite well. I ran compost and old plants from the garden through the shredder which was nice. Placing smaller sticks in the main hopper is quite scary; they'll get ripped out of your hand real fast. I think I chipped up to 2.5" branches. and made myself a nice little mulch pile.

yeah I used some cheap ball end wrenches that probably didn't help grip enough.
