The Search Is on for Gravely’s Biggest Fan
- Gravely Announces Anniversary Contest -

Brillion, Wis. (Oct. 10, 2005) — Ariens Company announced today that it will launch a nationwide search for Gravely’s biggest fan as part of the company’s 90th anniversary celebration. The “All-American Gravely® Fan Contest” will roll out in January of 2006.

Gravely represents the best that great American brands have to offer, according to Dan Ariens, company president. Gravely quality products are manufactured and assembled in the United States, sold through family-owned independent dealers and used by hardworking landscape contractors to grow their businesses.

“The Gravely brand has such a rich heritage and a tremendous following of fans. The enthusiasm dates back to the days of the two-wheel tractor and carries over to the newer commercial zero-turns,” says Ariens. “We wanted to create a forum where diehard Gravely fans could display their passion and share their hard work with Gravely fans everywhere.”

Beginning on Jan. 1, 2006, and ending Mar. 31, 2006, Gravely owners can register at www.gravelycontest.com to vie for the title of biggest fan. Entrants will be asked to upload a photo of their equipment and answer one of the following three questions:
• What is your biggest accomplishment with your Gravely?
• Why is Gravely a “Great American Brand”?
• What would you be willing to give up before you’d give up your Gravely?
Gravely fans who don’t have equipment to display online will have the opportunity to visit the Web site and vote for their favorite entrant beginning on April 1, 2006. The five entries to receive the most votes each will receive a Gravely anniversary T-shirt and hat and a set of Collectors’ Series Trading Cards, and will be invited to display their Gravely’s at the 2006 Gravely Mow In and the 2006 Ariens Dealer Summit, where the Gravely’s biggest fan will be announced.

Established in 1933 in Brillion, Wis., Ariens Company is a leading manufacturer of outdoor power equipment for both consumer and commercial use. The company’s premium brands include Ariens Sno-Thro® machines and Ariens zero-turn mowers for consumers, and Gravely® commercial lawn equipment for professional landscape contractors. Ariens’ affiliate, Stens Corporation, supplies replacement parts to the outdoor power equipment industry.

I wonder what the grand prize will be?

If it's FREE, it's for ME!

ALWAYS remember to remove the spark plug wire from the plug before sticking your hand in the machine!!!! The fingers you save could be your own.

It would be nice if they gave away the factory rebuilt 1959 Gravely as the prize.

I'd much rather see "The Biggest Ticked Off Customer Contest" ROF
Wonder if ol Dan reads his own forum......?
I spend all week driving through the best neighborhoods in town and see only 1 or 2 "Gravely" machines out of hundreds....wonder why? About busted my neck when I saw a C12 backfilling a swimming pool

I miss the old days when someone who owned a tractor had a plow for it and kept it in a barn. A CUT was something that bled and pressing 1 just made a sound in your ear. Mostly I miss the UPS girl....
Free Gravely 812
Free Simplicity 7016
