3204 Cub and serial number

I am buying a used 3204. Does anyone have one of these machines?

What do you think of it?
Any problems?

Also, can you tell me what the numbers of the serial number stand for?

I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

Re: 3204 Cub and serial number

Depending on the year they either have 20 HP or 23 HP. They also dont have the reverse PTO lockout switch on the dashboard like the 3100 series.
Instead its a simple metal tab underneath the foot pedals that get removed.
other than that they are really good machines, and hold up well ( I have one, so do others on the board)

Re: 3204 Cub and serial number

I'm also a happy owner of model in question with no regrets. I bypassed the reverse lockout within a couple days of purchasing the tractor and wouldn't think of reconnecting but then I don't have any younguns to be concerned about.

Don't know anything about serial #.

Re: 3204 Cub and serial number

First number is plant.....next letter is month, next two numbers is day of month, next number is year.
For instance...1G155XXXXXX....would be Brownsville...July 15,2005.
