GT3100 foot pedal Drive - Lost reserve

I have issue with my GT3100 that developed today. I mentioned in a past post that the drive pedal were not doing what they should be doing. Finally today I lost the reserve (not in the transmission) via the pedal. So adjusted the linkage and got a .5 mph in reserve (forward stayed the same) but right before I was done mowing 2 acres I lost the reserve again and forward slowed down just a little.

Does anyone know how to fix the drive pedal problem to help solve this or is there a previous thread about it?

If you happen to go to the right side top of the page, you'll see the Google Custom Search Box. Enter in Cub Cadet GT3100 Reverse and you will find many threads on that topic. One of them may have just what you need.

Pedal bushings. They are plastic and wear out. Here's where I changed the ones on my 3240: https://www.mytractorforum.com/19-cu...l#post12175459

You can see the part numbers in one of the pics.

You mean like REVERSE or RESERVE? Search engines are rather grammatically correct, but we didn't notice anything.

You can see the part numbers in one of the pics. Did a little work today. Replaced the pedal bushings and gained better pedal response and faster reverse.

Ok great good know. Another question, I see 4 bearings in your pic (3 big 1 small) and two different part numbers 741-3074 and 941-3073, do I need to order both these part numbers and will they have all I need or do I order 2 of each part number to get the 3 big and 1 small bearing?

I cant remember how many of each it has. Open the Partstree link I put in and count them. You can click on the red circles and it'll tell you which part # it is. There is another one back at the hydro. I think it's the small one but it'd be a good idea to check. You'll have to order how many you need. There isn't any kit for these. Order a couple more than you need.

I like to get my parts here. Both flange bearing#s

Thanks Steve. Saved the link (website) for the future. Do you know if there is a repair manual other than the CC website showing how to replace these and anything else on CCs? Normally I find all I need on YouTube but not did not find an instruction video on replacing these bearings.

There are some manuals online for it but dude , this is super simple. Just roll under it and you'll see it's just pulling a couple pins and slipping them in.

Take pics if how it goes before starting if you're worried but it's super easy. 1/5 difficulty. The only hard one to get at is at the hydro.

Re: GT3100 foot pedal Drive - Lost reserve

The diagram is a lot clearer on this website.

https://www.cubcadet-parts-direct.co...285-875-168649

While your in there you may want to try my bent nail modification. If no adjustments are made to the linkages it will significantly increase reverse speed. With adjustments you can increase the forward and/or reverse speed.

Re: GT3100 foot pedal Drive - Lost reserve

Link to page with 3000 Series(and MANY other) Service Manuals.

https://www.mymowerparts.com/pdf/Cub...epair-Manuals/

It has a LOT of useful info. I did not look to see if it covers replacement of the bushings, but the process of replacing the bushings is pretty simple, especially if you have the diagram to guide you.

NOTE: When removing the Fenders, leave the Floorboards attached and remove as an assembly. When I first started working on these, well over a decade ago, I used to take them apart and it was a PITA.
