Here's a pic of the hood wearing the yellow plastic as the frame twists. Can you see the yellow powder residue left after 2 hours of mowing? Here's a pic of the yard after mowing a few minutes ago. Looking good!

Don mine gets the same yellow rub spots on it. I rocked it and watched it rub. One other thing dawned on me. I think the 60" deck gets wider/different front spindles to clear the deck.
My front tires measure 31 1/2" center of tread(mold lines) to center of tread. If your track is wider it may cause more flex.
I'll measure it hang on a minute.

1" wider track, 6" wider deck. Probably why it has more flex

Probably so, I'm not going to worry to much about it anymore. Let her twist all it wants till it breaks. 4 yr. unlimited hr. warranty and frame has 5 yr I think but not sure. Either way I love the XT3GSX and even without the grass rollers on the deck i still get decent baseball field grass stripes. CC doesn't make grass rollers for the 60" fab deck cause there isn't enough room to put them on the deck. The tires are to close to the deck. The oil cooler i put on the engine seems to help dropping the oil temp by 10 to 15 degrees so thats bound to help the motor a little. Now to rig up an ice chest leveling device to make the floor board level. I have some nice thick black foam sheet and a thin board should do the trick. I'll post a pic of my rigged up ice chest platform when i get it rigged up.

As stout as the frame is on these I doubt you'll ever break it. I had a MTD with a sheetmetal frame that twisted like curly fry when I mowed and it never had an issue in 12yrs of abuse mowing my rocky 3 acre field.

Post up a pic of the redneck frame stabilizer chest when you get done.

I'll have to pay attention to it this season, as I never noticed it flex, but I suppose I may not be paying enough attention.

I could definitely feel the flex in my Deere D160- but that is apples and oranges. It wax a great lawn tractor, but the XT3 is obviously in a different class.

Re: XT3GSX Frame Flex

My old shaft drive Cub has the c-channel frame and I've never really noticed any frame flex, albeit having only a 42" stamped deck and a single cyl. Kohler engine.

Well I have a XT3GSX with a 60" Fabricated deck and it twists a lot. Maybe the extra weight of the 60" Fab deck does it. I just mowed another 4 acres 10 minutes ago and it kicks butt. I'm not to worried about it. She cuts good and rides nice!!!

I think the 3000 series has a different frame than the XT3
